A man was exploring an abandoned cabin near Skeleton Lake in Ontario when he photographed something strange. He posted the photo of the mysterious and misty figure on Reddit recently. The image seems to have a lot of folks scratching their heads, wondering what the anomaly actually is.
Hoping to get an answer for what he photographed, Reddit user Knarfpalop posted the image on September 1 under the headline "Was poking around an abandoned cabin on Skeleton Lake and snapped this pic inside" in the Ghosts section of Reddit.
A few Redditors weighed in with opinions. Most of them seemed to be skeptical, suggesting that it was steam or smoke. Some thought the misty figure was a shadow person or a ghost.
"There was nothing in the room when I took the pic, it's been abandoned for years since I was a little kid (I'm 23) there is no running water or electricity or anything." According to User Knarfpalop, he claims that it wasn't dust, steam, or smoke.
"That is quite an amazing capture right there. You can see how it actually does kind of form the shape of a head, a torso, shoulders, and an arm on the left. What also validates that this isn't steam is that if you look in the background, it appears this mist is casting a shadow on the wall. That black spot near the door shows the shadow of a head and shoulders," User WackyModder84 said in a comment.
Skeleton Lake is located in the Lake Huron drainage basin and is eleven miles west of the town of Huntsville.
